Huawei, ZTE, UTStarcom Win IPTV Equipment Orders in China

According to the Beijing News, Huawei, ZTE, and UTStarcom have won IPTV equipment deals from China Telecom and China Netcom. Huawei will be the main supplier for China Telecom's branch in Guangdong, which will have about 100,000 IPTV users, while ZTE will provide equipment to the operator's Jiangsu unit, which is projected to have about 100,000 users as well. UTStarcom will be the main provider to both China Telecom's Shanghai unit and China Netcom's Harbin branch. Although few financial details were made public, it was reported that orders for UTStarcom represented the highest value, with a worth between US$45 million and US$100 million.
